Only for reference
‘Only for reference’ – is a sentence written continuously on a strip stacked around the books from Trent University Library. Such books were usually rare or precious, in such a way that the students couldn’t bring them home; they could only consult them in the library. In the last week of my course, I installed in the studio where I worked for 6 months, paper strip identical to the ones in the books, proportional to the size of the room, surrounding the place. ONLY FOR REFERENCE – is a reference to the value this place had in the development of my work and the impossibility to bring it home.
